Squinting is also known as strabismus, a condition in which the eyes are not aligned in the same direction. Most children are affected by squint eyes, which can occur at any age. A partial squint can occur in one eye, or it can alternately affect both eyes. Every now and then, squinting can turn up, down, in, or out (diverge).
